NO BRUCE/ADRIAN MATERIAL ON UPCOMING
MAIDEN TOUR
Phenomonal solo songs still get axed in favor
of Blaze Bayley songs
In a brief telephone conversion with Cut-Out Bin editors, Bruce
Dickinson reported that he and Adrian will not be performing material
from their Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding albums with Iron
Maiden on their upcoming summer tour.
"I consented to sing some of the more listenable Bailey songs,
and Adrian to play them," said Bruce. "Because, well, they're okay
songs and we really wanted to seperate our reunion from all these
other old incarnations of bands that are getting back together
and pretending that some of their best albums don't exist. I won't
mention any names...like (cough)Black Sabbath...but we wanted to
seperate ourselves from the pack.
"You would think that would mean putting Darkside of Aquarius
in the set at least, Trumpets of Jericho...We played 17 songs on
Ed Hunter, including the three Bailey ones, adding three of mine
would make an even 20 which was what Maiden played on their last
tour with Mr. Monotone. But for whatever reason, Steve's ego
prevailed, and, well, I guess it's time for Adrian and I to
backpedal and pretend AoB and CW never happened. Bloody hell,
'tis depressing, 'taint it?"

The man of sorrows, 1997, Accident of Birth era.
(Tell your drummer I said sorry I didn't catch
his stick at the Chicago show! It only bounced
off my damn shoulder! Duh!)
In spite of the lack of AoB/CW tracks, Maiden's upcoming tour
should kick some serious ass--Rime of the Ancient Mariner, guys?
Still Life? 22, Acacia Avenue... (pleading look)
ACTUNG!: What you just read is BULLSHIT!!! I made it up! Muchas gracias, merci boku,
